Our Founder
At Black Cultr Care, we believe it’s crucial to shed light on the remarkable journey and mission of our founder JaX, an African American female who has dedicated her life to fostering positive change within communities. Growing up, she was fortunate to be exposed to diverse cultures, which instilled in her a deep appreciation for the richness of human diversity. This early exposure fueled her curiosity and ignited a lifelong passion for cultural understanding, civil rights, and human rights on a broader scale.
Driven by her desire to make a difference, our founder pursued higher education and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). Recognizing the importance of addressing mental health and societal challenges, she furthered her studies and obtained a Masters in Clinical Social Work from a Big Ten University.
For three decades, from 1992 to 2022, our founder was actively engaged in the helping field, dedicating herself to individual clinical work. She provided support and guidance to countless individuals, witnessing firsthand the struggles they faced. Although fulfilling, she eventually realized that her true calling extended beyond the individual level and aspired to bring about change on a larger, more systemic scale.
With her unwavering passion for cultural awareness, civil rights, and human rights, our founder decided to embark on a new path. She made a conscious choice to collaborate with like-minded individuals across Africa and the African diaspora who share her vision of creating positive transformations within their communities. By joining forces, they could amplify their impact and address systemic challenges that hinder progress.
Our founder’s mission now revolves around cultivating a collective effort among individuals and organizations striving for change. By leveraging their collective strengths, knowledge, and experiences, they seek to empower marginalized communities, advocate for equality, and create sustainable solutions that address the unique challenges faced by people of African descent worldwide.
Through her extensive background in psychology and clinical social work, our founder brings a holistic perspective to her work. She understands the interconnectedness of mental well-being, cultural identity, and societal structures. By combining her academic expertise with her profound understanding of human experiences, she spearheads initiatives that promote education, cultural preservation, economic empowerment, and social justice.
Our founder’s dedication to uplifting Africans and the African diaspora is driven by a profound belief in the inherent value and potential within every individual and community. She envisions a world where everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has equal opportunities to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society. We are honored to work alongside our founder, sharing her vision and commitment to positive change. Together, we strive to build bridges, foster dialogue, and create lasting impact as we collectively shape a brighter future for all.
